About our chapter

More women shaping which ideas get funded.

Girls Into VC @ Duke makes venture capital more accessible through practical education, direct exposure to founders and investors, and a community where students can learn without already knowing the industry.

Our mission

We create an entry point into venture capital for Duke women across majors and experience levels. Members learn how investors evaluate markets, companies, teams, and opportunities—then practice communicating their own convictions.

Our fellowship

Our eight-session fellowship introduces sourcing, market sizing, diligence, investment theses, and pitching. Fellows also gain applied experience through an externship and a culminating capstone pitch competition.

Our programming

We host speaker events, workshops, firm visits, founder conversations, and community gatherings. Signature programs include Breaking Into VC, Ask a CEO, externship projects, and our Investment Pitch Competition.

Our community

Members connect with peers who share an interest in startups and investing, while gaining access to women founders, venture professionals, mentors, and opportunities across the broader Girls Into VC network.
